Real Housewives of Atlanta Fans Launch Free Sweetie Campaign

After three seasons of ups and downs NeNe Leaks and Kim Zolciak have ended their longstanding friendship. They were both strippers in the past and always remained close during the show. The pair still remained good friends even after NeNe allegedly choked Kim because of what I believe was jealousy over her hit single "Tardy for the Party." NeNe does have a strong character that can be very animated and intimidating, but she is an honest woman who does have a sensitive side. Kim and NeNe's friendship has been a very large part of the Real Housewives of Atlanta foundation, and it's hard to imagine another season without them being on good terms.

I blame the tour bus for this season's heated fallout! During the trip to Miami Kim was complaining about the cramped space on the bus from the start. Then all the complaining irritated Kandi because she was doing her best to still have a good time despite their uncomfortable situation. All of this created a negative vibe on the bus long before NeNe came, and anybody who knows NeNe already knew she would bring even more drama on the bus. So, I feel Kim made the first mistake by inviting NeNe on the bus in the first place. NeNe has been making slick comments about Kim most of season three, but Kim finally heard one when she watched NeNe's Jermaine Dupri interview right before NeNe stepped on the bus. It all went down hill from that point on.

Everybody got on the bus after a show the night before and NeNe was taking shots at Kim. Kim said "Shut up!" That's when NeNe called Sweetie a slave. NeNe told Kim she may talk to Sweetie any kind of way but told her to watch her mouth when talking to a sista. I guess NeNe is so defensive she attacked Kim for standing up for herself instead of saying sorry, or she should have at least done more to try and understand where Kim was coming from. The situation got even more explosive from there. Real Housewives of Atlanta fans started a free Sweetie campaign to voice their concerns about the way Sweetie is treated. At the end of the day what goes on between Kim and Sweetie is nobody's business. Yes! Kim is white and Sweetie is black, but to call the only white woman on RHOA a racist is more hateful than anything else. We all have a right to celebrate our race and cultural heritage as long as it's not hateful or intolerant of others.

I haven't seen Kim do anything disrespectful to Sweetie. I was a little bit offended when she complained about having to perform at a hip hop club with Kandi before they made it to Miami. I guess she would've been more comfortable at a whiter club. Things like that make me wonder if Kim really is comfortable around a lot of black people, and I have to say no. She may only be sexually attracted to men (and women) of her own skin color, but that doesn't mean her friendships with other races aren't genuine. If Sweetie wants to double as an assistant and maid then that's on Sweetie. Neither of the popular socialites are willing to reconcile. Season four hasn't been worked out, but I'm sure it will be more southern and classier than ever before.
