Foxy Brown Disses Lil' Kim Over Minaj Attacks
60The new Lil' Kim single "Clap, Clap" is making waves after she puts rival Nicki Minaj on blast once again. "So mention my name out your mouth, and before you take a bow, we’ll be clapping from the crowd,” she says. This isn't the first time Kim has taken shots at Minaj. The Queen Bee first stung Nicky Minaj last year at a concert in upstate New York when she took off a colorful wig and threw it into the crowd. She feels like Nicki Minaj has been imitating her style and hasn't shown any respect. In a radio interview last year Lil' Kim told Philly's 100.3 the Beat that female rappers should stick together. She said she's be willing to embrace the Young Money femcee if she pays homage. Both MCs have been going back and forth since Nicki Minaj hit the scene. If Kim really feels like female artists need to stick together in a male dominated industry she should have been the bigger woman by squashing the bullshit when is first began. Lil' Kim has been blasting Nicky Minaj since the middle of last year, and there's no sign of her letting up after the latest round of mudslinging in her new single 'Clap, Clap' featuring her new crew the International Rock Stars/I.R.S.
Drake isn't the only one showing support for Lil Wayne's protege. Foxy
Brown released a diss track "Massacre" this month aimed at Lil' Kim. In
it she spits, "First a bitch wanna hate on Foxy, ten years later now
she hating Minajie, whoa!" The track recorded to Jay-Z's "So Ghetto" was
first heard Thursday night on DJ Kay Slay's Hot 97. The Queen Bee and
the Ill Na Na have been going at it for years (I think) because Lil' Kim
has a real fear of female competition. With Mary J. Blige, Ciara, Nicky
Minaj, Trina and other major female artists taking all the spotlight
Lil' Kim has been having a hell of a time climbing up from the back of
the bus.
Do you think Lil' Kim is being the mature MC by lashing
out at Nicki Minaj and demanding she pay respect, or is it just a
publicity stunt to get much needed attention?
